Many books written over a period of time, explaining this of that, here and there but today there is a need of “Re-Discovery” of India as we all always hear that the Indian history is manipulated or tampered or part of Mythology.
As mention in Manu Smriti “An elephant made of wood, dear made of leather and Brahmin without knowledge, those are three having nothing but the names (of their kind)”
Same way history which was tempered or changed due to some influences is a waste, it can’t be used as a base of Nationa’s Culture.
Great philosopher Chanakya says:
पुष्पे गन्धं तिले तैलं काष्ठेऽग्निं पयसि घृतम् ।
इक्षौ गुडं तथा देहे पश्यात्मानं विवेकतः ॥
“Flower’s scent, oil in seed, fire in wood, ghee in milk, sugar in sugarcane and soul in the body are not seen from outside.”
Same way history from others and culture from books can’t be written or taught.
If I want to improve the condition of my home, then I have to take initiative first, no one from outside will know about my home or will get it better.
Chanakya further says:
गतं शोको न कर्तव्यं भविष्यं नैव चिन्तयेत्।
वर्तमानेन कालेन प्रवर्तमन्ते विचक्षणाः।।
Repenting on something that has happened in past would not help anything, same applies to the Future as well. So it’s always good to live in the present that will also brighten the future… … … … …
In other lines Chanakya mentioned:
यो ध्रुवाणि परित्यज्य ह्यध्रुवं परिसेवते।
ध्रुवाणि तस्य नश्यन्ति चाध्रुवं नष्टमेव तत् ।।
One who leaves something certain to achieve the uncertain loses the certain the thing always takes well care of things that are in your hand and don’t lose them to get something that is uncertain.
I agree we lost our history & culture I agree do we lost our ancient knowledge. Crying what we loose doesn’t give it back so this is the right time when we have to take a step back and think about how we can gain it again, I know this is very hard way and there are multiple obstacles in it but I do believe that we can bring real Indian history to its full bloom.
